There have been numerous studies that have linked increased usage of plastics resulting in disturbing the hormone levels in human bodies.

If you look under any plastic bottle, you'll see a number and that's key to plastics which come in contact with our food we consume.

I have made few simple changes in trying to limit(not eliminate) use of plastic in my lifestyle.
  • While am on the road, I carry a glass water bottle.
  • When we microwave anything, we use ceramics, porcelain or at times microwave-safe containers.
I still carry lunch to work in a plastic container and need to find a replacement for it..Any suggestions?

Farmer's Market

I have partly switched to eating healthy in the last two year and try to purchase locally grown produce.
Prior to eating locally grown or organically grown, I would still try to eat healthy food purchased at big box retailers but those were primarily grown out of state or in other countries...
However, eating locally grown produce will aid me in two ways.
  1. I know am getting locally grown, fresh vegetables/fruits but is it organic? am not sure.
  2. Am supporting local farming families and this will keep their business afloat which will guarantee me future produce..
Tampa bay area has several farmer's market where you can get fresh produce.

There is one on Chancey Road in Zephyrhills called J.R. Farms and they have a good variety of fruits and vegetables and a small nursery. I just wish they had more varieties available!
